Pierce Goes Wire to Wire for Win at Rocky Bayou
Brandon Pierce got off to a fast start in the Emerald Coast Tour event at Rocky Bayou. His first round 65 gave him a three shot lead and he stayed hot with rounds of 67-67 -199 to finish 17 under par for the tournament. It was good for a 6 shot win over Jacob Harper who finished 11 under at 205. The victory was Pierce’s second win on the Emerald Coast Tour as he won the Dothan Pro Classic last year. The former LSU collegiate golfer moves to second on the money list. Jacob Harper is now the tour leading money winner.
Caleb Maraman was third in the event after a final round 68 put him at 209. Ryan Benton of Dothan AL was fourth at 210.
The Pro Am was won by Ryan Barousse Rick Bauman De Wayne Ray and John Mulrain.
