Osborn Wins 2019 Opener at Regatta Bay
Garrett Osborn came back to win the Emerald Coast Golf Tour season opening event at Regatta Bay in Destin FL. After a 69-70 start Osborn started the final day three strokes back of Dawson Armstrong. His final round 68-207 was good for a one shot win. Armstrong had rounds of 68-68 -72 to finish one stroke back at 208. Armstrong was still leading at the turn by three but Osborn rallied with a back nine 32. After Osborn birdied the 16th and Armstrong made bogey it turned out to be the difference. Eric Ansett of Spokane WA had a final round 70 to finish third at 216. Aaron Murphy and Anthony Maccaglia tied for fourth at 218. The Conditions were tough as it was windy each day and the course was playing tough.
