Stewart Defends Kiva Dunes Title
Hunter Stewart successfully defended his title in the Emerald Coast Tour event at Kiva Dunes. He was Co Champion last year with Michael Hebert but managed to pull out a one stroke win this year over Luke Moser. Stewart started the final round with a one shot lead over Brian Rowell who was the first round lead after a incredible 66 in the first round in windy conditions. Stewart had the low round of the tournament with a second round 65 and a final round 73 was just good enough for the victory as he finished at 4 under for the tournament at 212. Moser a recent Troy graduate was second at 213. There was a logjam at 214 with Hunter Hamrick, Stephen Stallings, Michael Arnaud and Blake Olson. The Pro Am was won by Hunter Hamrick and Mike Peyer, Gordon Ripps and Scott Astin.
